用作颜料、冶金助熔剂及油漆催干剂，并用于石油、橡胶、玻璃、搪瓷等工业用于制造聚氯乙烯塑料稳定剂。是其它铅盐的原料。在油漆工业中与油制成铅皂，用作油漆中的催干剂。用于制造高折射率光学玻璃、陶瓷瓷釉、精密机床的平面研磨剂，是医用原料、橡胶着色剂。还用于蓄电池极板制造及石油精制等。
