本色为微黄色半透明状，有光泽。透明度胜于聚乙烯、聚苯烯，差于聚苯乙烯，随助剂用量不同，分为软、硬聚氯乙烯，软制品柔而韧，手感粘，硬制品的硬度高于低密度聚乙烯，而低于聚丙烯，在屈折处会出现白化现象。 相对密度 1.4 溶解性 低分子量的易溶于酮类、酯类和氯代烃类溶剂。高分子量的则难溶解。 具有阻燃（阻燃值为40以上）、耐化学药品性高（耐浓盐酸、浓度为90％的硫酸、浓度为60％的硝酸和浓度20％的氢氧化钠）、机械强度及电绝缘性良好的优点。但其耐热性较差，软化点为80℃，于130℃开始分解变色，并析出HCI。 性能特点：本产品为白色粉末，根据不同用途可以加入不同的添加剂，呈现出不同的物理机械性能，其制品力学性能、耐腐蚀性能、介电性能、抗化学药品性能优良。
